The national Stadium is located in the southern part of the central area of the Olympic Green and the main stadium of the 29th Olympic Games in 2008.

The stadium covers a land area of 21 hectares and a building area of 258,000 square meters. It has a seating capacity is 91,000, including 11,000 temporary seats. The opening and closing ceremony of the Olympics and Paralympics, track and field events as well as soccer games were held there. After the Olympics, the stadium has become a large venue for residents to engage in sports activities and enjoy recreational activities and has become a landmark sports building and Olympic legacy.
